October 2011.  Fr. Bob Caruso recently had the opportunity to dine and share thoughts with his friend and teacher, Fr. September 30, 2011.  The Rev. Christopher Courtright-Cox launched the Crossroads Catholic Community in Saranac Lake, New York.  It offers Mass on Saturdays at 5pm and will be beginning a Wednesday evening spiritual development group in November.

July 15, 2011.  The Rev. Robert W. Caruso has been incardinated as a priest.  Fr Caruso holds a M.A. and M.Div.  from the United Theological Seminary, and has served the pastor of a church community in Minnesota  since being ordained to the priesthood in 2006.  He is the author of The Old Catholic Church  (2009), and is a member of the St. Willibrord Theological Society of the Union of Utrecht and the International Working Group on Old Catholic Research.

June 2011.  (The Rev.) Chaplain Joseph Moldon has been promoted from Major to Lt. Colonel in the USAF Auxiliary, and has taken on supervisory ministerial responsibilities as a group chaplain for the South Florida squadron.  He was also recently named as the Chaplain of the Year for the Florida wing, and given the President's Lifetime award for his service.

June 5, 2011.  The Holy Family Church has moved to a new location, 8726 West Olive Avenue in Peoria, AZ, in a church space shared with the Celebration Evangelical Lutheran Church. 

May 23, 2011.  The Rev. Dr. Christoper Courtright-Cox, was incardinated as a deacon and is in the process of opening a public spaces ministry to serve residents of  New York's Franklin County;  he will be ordained to the priesthood on August 20, 2011 for service to that population.   Courtright-Cox was ordained to the deaconate in 2004, and works as a licensed mental health counselor in NY.   He holds a D.Ed. in Spirituality and Psychology from Argosy University,  a M.A. in Psychology and Counseling from Goddard College, a M.Th. from St Michael's College in Vermont, a S.T.B. from the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas in Rome, and a B.A. in Philosophy and Religious Studies from Wadhams Hall Seminary College. 

April 2011.  The Rev. Dr. Peter Aduba has taken up Associate Minister responsibilities at the Grace Baptist Church in Waterbury, Connecticut in addition to his Nigerian ex-patriate outreach ministry activities through St. Joseph's parish of this church. 

August 1, 2010.   The laity, clergy and bishops of the United Catholic Church unanimously voted to approve clarifying word changes to canon 6.3 (bride and groom made gender neutral) and to canon  6.7.5 (displaced ecumenical component removed)  of this church.

May 27, 2010.   The Most Rev. Rose Tressel competed a Master of Sacred Theology degree focusing on ecumenism and conciliar thought at the General Theological Seminary of the Episcopal Church in New York City.  Her thesis,  An Examination of the Process and Applied Theory of the Ecumenical Movement, Viewed Through the Lens of the 2001 ELCA-TEC  Full Communion Agreement,  explored this domain.  The degree will be awarded at graduation services on May 18, 2011.

May 14, 2010.  The Rev. Dr. Judith Loftus was awarded the Doctor of Ministry degree in Congregational Development from the Seabury Western Seminary, Evanston IL.   A police chaplain,  the Rev. Dr. Loftus' thesis, Compassion Fatigue:  The Law Enforcement Chaplain's Response,  explores the concept of compassion resilience and offers suggestions to ameliorate the effects of trauma that are faced by field practitioners.

May 1, 2010.  Fr Al Pike won the silver medal in poetry for his book, Searching for Salvation: From Brokenness to Wholeness -  see  http://readersfavorite.com/2009-readers-favorite-winners.htm.

April 30, 2010.    The Church's  St Francis of Assisi House in Peru, a 25 year ministry led by Bishop Peter Orlando to support abandoned children, continues to produce meaningful futures for the young people it serves.   One young lady served by the mission,  after years of difficulties  has graduated from chef school and recently  started a cafe/grocery store with her brother.   Another will be graduating from a mission-sponsored  apprenticeship in welding in June, and a third just graduated from beautician school.   The mission also recently arranged for another mission supported recipient to be placed in the  beauty and sewing academies and for another to start training to become an auto mechanic this summer.   The mission is also continuing to grow in self-sufficiency through a newly-started mission business.   The UCC's annual appeal to support this mission is underway; please contact Bp Orlando at pandborlando@q.com for more information on how you can help.

December 15, 2009.    Fr. Al Pike's book, Searching for Salvation: From Brokenness to Wholeness,  has been named as a 2009 Readers Favorite finalist in the Christian Non-Fiction and Poetry sections by Amazon.com. 

November 30, 2009.    Fr John Stygles has published Scammed By Society, The Contextual Theology and Christian Ethics of the Irish Travelers in the United States of America - A Moral Ethnographic Study, available in paperback through Amazon and through Kindle.
